About This Beer
Third Barrel Nothing To See Here IPA 44cl 6% is a modern Irish IPA brewed with Idaho 7 and Galaxy hops and built around an unmistakably tropical flavour profile.
Rather than throwing a long list of tasting descriptors at this beer, Third Barrel's approach is refreshingly straightforward: Nothing To See Here is all about pineapple. Ripe pineapple leads the aroma, while the flavour develops towards a sweeter candied pineapple character.
Brewed in Dublin by Third Barrel Brewing, Nothing To See Here sits at 6% ABV, giving it the strength and body of a proper IPA while remaining comfortably below the bigger alcohol levels associated with Double and Imperial IPAs.
The combination of Idaho 7 and Galaxy is central to the beer. Both are highly expressive modern hop varieties, and their tropical qualities make them a natural combination for an IPA designed around juicy fruit character.
For drinkers who gravitate towards fruit-forward, hazy and modern hop-led beers, Nothing To See Here is an excellent addition to the fridge.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Hazy golden in the glass with a soft white head.
- Aroma: Ripe pineapple dominates the nose, backed by expressive tropical hop character.
- Flavour: Pineapple remains at the forefront, moving from fresh, ripe fruit towards a sweeter candied pineapple quality on the palate.
- Mouthfeel: Soft and full-flavoured, with enough body to support its 6% strength and generous hopping.
- Finish: Tropical and hop-led, with the pineapple character lingering after each sip.
The defining feature is that focused pineapple character. Rather than describing it simply as a generically "tropical" IPA, Nothing To See Here has a much clearer identity.

Idaho 7 & Galaxy Hops
Nothing To See Here brings together two modern hop varieties with strong reputations for expressive fruit character.
Idaho 7 originated in the United States and has become particularly popular in modern American-style Pale Ales and IPAs. Galaxy, developed in Australia, is similarly associated with intensely aromatic, fruit-forward beers.
Third Barrel combines the two in Nothing To See Here with a very specific result in mind. The brewery highlights ripe pineapple on the nose followed by candied pineapple on the palate, making the hop combination the defining feature of the beer.
At 6% ABV, there is also enough body and strength underneath those hops to prevent the beer from feeling thin. It is a full-strength IPA designed to deliver plenty of hop aroma and flavour while remaining highly drinkable.
Food Pairings
The juicy pineapple character of Nothing To See Here makes it particularly interesting with spicy and savoury foods.
Try it alongside spicy chicken wings, where the tropical fruit character provides a contrast to chilli and spice. Tacos are another strong pairing, particularly with spicy chicken or pork and fresh salsa.
The beer can also work well alongside burgers, barbecue dishes and pizza. Richer foods give the fruit-forward hops something substantial to work against, while the beer provides a refreshing counterpoint between bites.
For cheese, try it with mature cheddar or another strongly flavoured cheese capable of standing up to a 6% IPA.
About Third Barrel Brewing
Third Barrel Brewing is an independent Irish craft brewery based at Bluebell Avenue in Dublin 12.
The brewery was formed in 2016 from a collaboration between Stone Barrel and Third Circle, two Irish cuckoo beer brands looking to establish a brewing home of their own. From there, Third Barrel developed into a brewery producing everything from Pilsners through Pale Ales and IPAs to considerably stronger Triple IPAs.
Third Barrel originally focused heavily on one-off releases, producing new beers rather than maintaining a conventional permanent range. As drinking habits evolved, the brewery introduced a small core range while continuing to release regular specials.
That combination of consistency and experimentation remains part of the Third Barrel identity, particularly for drinkers interested in contemporary Irish craft beer.
The brewery operates from Emerald House on Bluebell Avenue in Dublin 12, making Nothing To See Here a genuinely Dublin-brewed IPA.

Who Is Nothing To See Here For?
Nothing To See Here is particularly suited to drinkers who prefer modern, fruit-driven IPAs over more traditional bitter or malt-forward interpretations of the style.
If pineapple is one of the flavours you enjoy finding in hop-forward beer, this is an especially interesting option. The combination of Idaho 7 and Galaxy creates a profile centred specifically around ripe and candied pineapple rather than an indistinct mix of generic tropical fruit.
Its 6% ABV also puts it in a useful middle ground. It has the strength expected from an IPA without the considerably higher alcohol content of many Double IPAs.
Serve it properly chilled and pour it into a clean beer glass to allow the hop aroma to open up.
