TheCru.ie is an independent, family-run Irish drinks retailer, with roots going back to 2004. From our beginnings in beer, we've grown into a specialist online drinks retailer offering craft beer, Irish whiskey, spirits, wine, cider, gifting and more to customers across Ireland.
We're drinks people ourselves. Our aim is simple: to bring together an interesting range, make specialist drinks easier to find and give customers straightforward, knowledgeable service without making things complicated.
Our Story – Since 2004
Our story began in 2004, with a focus on bringing a wider choice of beer to Irish drinkers.
Many customers will remember us as TheBeerClub.ie, where craft beer was at the heart of what we did. As our customers' tastes – and our own range – expanded beyond beer, we evolved into TheCru.ie.
Today, you'll find everything from independent Irish craft beer and international releases to Irish whiskey, spirits, wine, cider, cocktail ingredients and alcohol-free options, alongside our gifting and subscription ranges.
While plenty has changed since 2004, we remain an Irish, independent and family-run business.
TheKegCru.ie – Launched in 2024
In 2024, we launched TheKegCru.ie, our dedicated sister business specialising in kegs, draught beer and home bar equipment.
Kegs had become an increasingly important part of our business, and creating TheKegCru.ie gave them a specialist home of their own.
Today, TheKegCru.ie offers a wide range of keg formats, including PerfectDraft kegs, Blade kegs, 5L mini kegs and larger steel kegs, alongside draught beer equipment and accessories.
The two businesses remain closely connected but have their own focus:

TheKegCru.ie is our specialist destination for kegs, draught beer and home bar equipment.
Drinks Worth Discovering
One of the things we've always enjoyed most is helping people discover something new.
We work with a wide range of Irish breweries and drinks producers, alongside independent and established producers from around the world. That means you'll find familiar favourites alongside new releases, seasonal beers and bottles you may not come across everywhere else.

Although we've grown well beyond beer, craft beer remains an important part of TheCru.ie.
We stock beers from breweries across Ireland and further afield, covering everything from IPAs and pale ales to lagers, stouts, sours and seasonal releases.
For anyone who enjoys discovering new breweries and styles, our monthly craft beer subscriptions offer a regularly changing selection delivered throughout Ireland.
Gifts, Hampers & Special Occasions
Sometimes you're choosing a drink for somebody else, which isn't always easy.
Our gifting range brings together craft beer gifts, whiskey gifts, hampers, gift sets and subscriptions, along with seasonal ranges for occasions such as Father's Day and Christmas.
