Tasting Notes
Dublin's Own Bourbon Cask Irish Whiskey offers an inviting combination of sweet aromas, gentle spice and smooth texture.
Appearance: Warm golden amber with copper highlights.
Aroma: Honey, vanilla, buttery caramel, raisins, toffee apple and sweet brioche.
Taste: Creamy white chocolate, coffee, crème brûlée, ripe pear and gentle oak spice.

The bourbon casks play an important role in shaping the whiskey's character.
Vanilla and caramel are particularly associated with American oak maturation, contributing sweetness and warmth without overwhelming the underlying grain and malt flavours.
The blend's smooth texture makes it approachable, while the combination of orchard fruit, chocolate and spice provides additional complexity.
Allowing the whiskey a few moments in the glass can help its aromas develop.
A small amount of water may also reveal different aspects of its sweeter and spicier characteristics.
About Dublin Whiskey Distillery
The story of Dublin Whiskey Distillery begins in 1872, when John Brannick established the original D.W.D. distillery at Jones's Road, beside the River Tolka on Dublin's northside.
At the time, Dublin was one of the world's most important whiskey-producing cities, with several major distilleries contributing to Ireland's international reputation.
The Jones's Road distillery quickly established itself as a significant producer during the golden age of Irish whiskey.
In 1887, renowned whisky writer Alfred Barnard visited the distillery while researching his influential book, The Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom.
Barnard praised the modern facilities and quality of the whiskey produced there, recognising the ambition and technical expertise behind the operation.
Despite its early success, the distillery eventually became a casualty of the decline in Irish whiskey production during the twentieth century.
The original D.W.D. distillery was sold at auction in October 1946, bringing an end to an important chapter in Dublin's distilling history.
Exactly 71 years later, on 17 October 2017, the D.W.D. name was revived with the launch of its Heritage Edition.
The modern Dublin's Own whiskey celebrates this remarkable story, reconnecting contemporary whiskey drinkers with a historic Dublin distilling name.
While the present-day blend is not produced at the original Jones's Road site, it continues the brand's association with Dublin and its whiskey heritage.
Dublin's Own combines that history with a contemporary blended Irish whiskey style, offering an approachable expression shaped by bourbon cask maturation.
