West Cork Maritime Release Port Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a premium product from West Cork Distillers, a distillery renowned for its dedication to quality and innovation. Located in Skibbereen, County Cork, West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by childhood friends John O’Connell, Ger McCarthy, and Denis McCarthy. This distillery has grown from its humble beginnings into one of the top Irish whiskey brands, known for its use of local ingredients and innovative cask finishes.

Product Details:

This Single Malt whiskey is crafted from 100% local Irish grain and embodies the maritime heritage of West Cork. It is initially matured in first-fill Bourbon casks, which impart rich vanilla and toffee notes to the spirit. The whiskey is then finished in Quinta Da Boeira Port Casks, adding layers of dried fruit and subtle spice. The bespoke Maritime-shaped bottle with its custom-blown spherical design and off-centre spout reflects the unique character of this whiskey, making it a true collector’s item.

Producer History:

West Cork Distillers began in a small room at the back of Denis' house in Union Hall. Despite the economic challenges, their passion for creating high-quality"Irish whiskeys led them to success. In 2014, they moved to a new facility in Skibbereen, significantly expanding their operations. Today, the distillery operates on a 12.5-acre site on Marsh Road, with a distillation capacity of 4 million litres of pure alcohol. West Cork Distillers' products are now sold in nearly 70 countries, reflecting their global reach and reputation for excellence.
