The story of Fubá begins with the Agapito brothers, born in Santos, a coastal town south of São Paulo where the first cachaça distillery was set up nearly 500 years ago. Rafael, after traversing through Europe and developing a love for hospitality and cocktail creation in Ireland, co-founded Onda Cocktail Room in Lisbon and set up a hospitality consulting business. His experience in creating top venues led him to partner with Cassiano, who discovered a special cachaça in Brasil. Together, they launched Fubá in Ireland in 2011, aiming to bring traditionally handcrafted, small-batch cachaça to the international market at a reasonable price. The success of their endeavour is evident as Fubá rapidly became the best-selling cachaça in the country.
