Xibeca is brewed by S.A. Damm, one of Spain’s most iconic breweries, known internationally for its Estrella Damm range. The brewery was founded in 1876 by August Kuentzmann Damm, an Alsatian immigrant who brought his continental brewing skills to the warmer Mediterranean climate. Xibeca emerged in the 1960s as an affordable, high-volume lager to replace wine at the dinner table — offering low alcohol, clean flavour, and refreshing carbonation in distinctive litre bottles.
Today, Xibeca retains that same character: it’s brewed with pale malts, European hops, and soft water for a smooth finish and dry, slightly floral edge. Though light in body and alcohol, it doesn’t sacrifice quality — the beer is brewed to the same exacting standards as the rest of the Damm portfolio.
