Producer Background
Founded in 1993 by Dick Doore and Eric Wallace, Left Hand Brewing emerged during the early wave of American craft beer. The brewery quickly made a name for itself with its flagship Milk Stout, and later gained international recognition for pioneering nitrogenated bottled beers — most famously Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. This creamy, roasty stout became a modern classic and helped define a new subcategory of smooth, cascading beers typically reserved for draught systems.
Beyond its famous stout, Left Hand offers a diverse range that includes hazy IPA, robust porters, amber ales, and seasonal specials — many of which have earned medals at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup. Sustainability and community support remain core to their philosophy, with the brewery often championing accessibility, local causes, and green brewing practices. On TheCru.ie, Left Hand stands proudly alongside heritage German Beer, expressive Belgian Beer, and the very best of craft beer Ireland — including options also available in Beer Kegs for bigger pours and events.
