About Kilbeggan Whiskey

Kilbeggan Whiskey embraces a heritage steeped in more than 260 years of distilling history, making it one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Ireland. Nestled in the heart of Ireland, in the small town of Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, the distillery was established in 1757 and has since become a symbol of Irish resilience and craftsmanship.

Surviving through changing times, including periods of hardship such as the Great Famine, American Prohibition, and the decline of Irish whiskey in the 20th century, Kilbeggan has continued to produce its distinctive smooth and flavourful whiskey, maintaining its long-standing traditions.

Kilbeggan produces a range of notable whiskeys, from blends to single grains and single malts, each carrying the character and charm of the heartland of Ireland. Their maturation process employs a variety of cask types, imparting unique flavours into each batch.

The Kilbeggan Distillery itself serves not only as a production site but also as a living museum of distilling history, with a fully operational waterwheel-powered distillery showcasing traditional methods of whiskey production.

The enduring spirit of Kilbeggan, encapsulated in each bottle, carries a rich heritage that makes it a revered name among whiskey connoisseurs around the globe.
