George Monin founded Monin in 1912. It has been family-owned for three generations and now serves a variety of innovative flavours to both the cocktail and coffee crowds. They also provide flavour and taste consulting to the beverage industry. Today, they are a large corporation with "over 100 flavours available in over 100 countries," as they put it. They make it a point not to use high fructose corn syrup in any of their products.
Monin Creme de Violette is their interpretation of a classic twentieth-century liqueur made with violet flowers and presented in a striking purple bottle (essential for the Aviation cocktail).
