Marqués de Riscal, founded in 1858 in the heart of Rioja, is one of Spain's most prestigious estates. The Tempranillo vineyards were planted in the 1970s, and Graciano is added for crispness and colour before ageing in American oak barrels for two years.
It has a balsamic aroma with ripe fruit notes. It's fresh, light, and persistent on the palate, with soft and round tannins.
This wine pairs well with ham, mature cheeses, stews with mildly spicy sauces, cooked or boiled legumes, poultry, red meat, and any type of roast or grilled meat.
