About Lambay Whiskey

Lambay Irish Whiskey is a distinguished producer that exemplifies the age-old traditions and craft of Irish whiskey-making, while infusing each product with its unique sense of place. The brand is a collaboration between the Baring Family's Revelstoke Trust and the renowned French Maison Camus, built upon a shared commitment to quality, craft, and family heritage.

The distillery is located on Lambay Island, a pristine and private nature reserve just off the coast of County Dublin, Ireland. This tranquil location, with its unique microclimate, imparts an inimitable character into each bottle of Lambay Irish Whiskey. The salty sea air, freshwater springs, and the flora and fauna of the island influence the aging process, giving the whiskey its unique taste.

At the heart of Lambay Whiskey's production is their Master Blender, Alex Thomas. One of the few female blenders in the industry, she brings her exceptional skill, an innovative spirit, and attention to detail to the craft. Under her watchful eye, each expression is carefully crafted to ensure a harmonious balance of flavours.

Lambay's portfolio includes the Small Batch Blend and the Single Malt, both distinguished by their secondary maturation process. After an initial aging in bourbon barrels, the whiskeys are further matured in French oak cognac casks, transported directly from the Camus Maison in France. This unique Cognac cask finish gives Lambay Whiskey its distinct and intricate flavour profile.

The Small Batch Blend is a blend of malted and grain whiskeys, characterised by notes of malt, floral aromas, ripe bananas, and a mild spice. The Single Malt, triple distilled and unchill-filtered, boasts more complex flavours of ripe fruit, flora, and spice, with a rich cognac cask finish.

Lambay Irish Whiskey showcases the intersection of nature and nurture. It's a testament to the craftsmanship of Irish whiskey-making, with a unique Island character and French influence that sets it apart from other whiskies in the market. Its heritage, meticulous production methods, and the influence of its unique environment ensure every sip of Lambay Whiskey is an experience to be savoured.
